I first met Corey a year and a half ago; I was overweight, out of shape (no cardio), and couldn’t even run a mile without being out of breath. This is coming from someone who had been an athlete in high school, but had done little to no exercise in at least 10 years.

Since then, I have dropped 30lbs, dropped 2-3 pant sizes, 5 inches off my waist and replaced fat with muscle. My energy levels are high again, I am sleeping much better (used to suffer from sleep apnea), much less stressed out, and feeling good overall, both mentally and physically. I feel younger and my age again. Even my posture has improved!

During my first conversation with Corey, I told him I wanted to drop weight. He said there was two ways to go about it, the fast way or the right way. I told him I wanted to do it the right way so I could keep it off. 30lbs later, I feel much better, but still looking forward to losing more!

Corey is a stickler for doing every single activity the correct way; to avoid injury and to teach you how to train yourself on the days you can’t go to the gym and work out with him.

Corey will push you to your limits and he knows what you are capable of even before you know yourself. He takes the time to listen to you if you are experiencing any pain and adjusts the exercises accordingly.

My career is very time consuming and my schedule can be unpredictable with lots of last minute travel sometimes for days or weeks on end. Corey is very flexible and understanding and goes above and beyond to work with me whether I am working long hours in town or on the road. He will either tell me to relax and just go home to sleep or to send me short workouts I can do on my own while on travel. I never feel pressured, in fact, I wish I had more time to work out, but my work schedule gets in the way a lot. Corey has been good about also educating me on nutrition; what to eat and when to eat, as it is all related. In fact, I still have a recipe book he lent me that I need to return to him!

Since training with Corey, I have received a ton of complements from folks and I have my confidence back; that makes me want to work and train even harder. I would highly recommend Corey to anyone. If he can work with someone like me and my lifestyle, he can work with anyone. Even my fiancée and my fiancée’s sister started training with Corey after seeing the work he was doing with me. My goals were to get stronger and more tone and to start lifting weights again, which I hadn’t really done since college. Not only am I much stronger, I know how to do a lot more exercises in the weight room.

 

Corey and I focused on learning how to do a lot of different dynamic exercises using kettlebells. I’ve learned how to do a quick and effective workout that combines strength training and cardio using only a kettlebell. I travel for work and this is particularly helpful when you are using a hotel gym with little equipment. I also learned how to do a variety of other exercises with proper form including single leg squats, push presses, and deadlifts. I now regularly increase weight and am no longer worried about getting injured in the weight room. I have much better form while working out and much better posture throughout the day. In addition, people have been commenting that I look really strong.

 

Corey is extremely knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition, so he spends a lot of time explaining how and why certain workouts are effective.
